Talisay City Recognizes Centenarian
Have you ever imagined to live your life until the age of 100?
How can you maintain a good health and live that long life span?
Well, for lola (grandma) Anatolia Reyes Bacus who just celebrated her 100th birthday on July 9 evidently showed that age is just a number.
Lola Anatolia, a resident of Barangay San Isidro in Talisay City has 6 children.
The local government of Talisay City recognized the century-old resident where city mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas personally handed over P50,000 and a plaque.
Personnel from Talisay City Social Welfare Development led by Felipa Solano was also with Mayor Gullas.
Lola Anatolia is the 1st centenarian in Talisay City this year and the 8th since the centenarian act of 2016 was implemented.
The youngest son of Lola Anatolia, Mario, said that her mother is not a picky eater, meaning she eats almost everything from vegetables to meat.
Mario described her mother as a good example to them since she is very religious.
Mario also showed his gratitude that her mother reached such age.
Mayor Gullas also said that the city has an existing resolution regarding the distribution of cash assistance to centenarians. (MLC)
