Talisay City College Director Suspended
Following the unexplained P10 million unreported collection, the Talisay City College (TCC) board of trustees (BOT) orders 30-day preventive suspension to its director, Tomas Ramos.
According to the order, while the investigation is still being conducted and to keep Ramos from intervening, he has to be placed under a preventive suspension, which took effect last May 27. The order was signed by BOT chairman Talisay City Mayor Socrates Fernandez.
The suspension stemmed from the P10 million which TCC, in which Ramos heads since it was born in 2004, failed to remit to the City Treasury. The said irregularities were discovered by the Commission on Audit when it inspected the city’s transactions last year.
