Talisay City and Towns of Minglanilla and Consolacion Remains Under GCQ; Rest of Cebu Province now under MGCQ
The City of Talisay and the Municipality of Minglanilla in southern Cebu including the Municipality of Consolacion in northern Cebu will remain under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) from July 1 – July 15, 2020, as announced during President Rodrigo Duterte’s national address yesterday evening.
The rest of Cebu Province however, is now under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).
Cities of Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue will also be under GCQ until the July 15.
During President Rodrigo Duterte’s nation address last night, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III announced the quarantine status of all places in the Philippines as per recommended by the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF).
The mentioned city and towns will still be under GCQ since they have the most COVID-19 cases in the province of Cebu.
The City of Talisay reported its latest situation yesterday, June 30 with 291 total cases but has only 143 active cases and 103 recoveries.
Minglanilla also reported a total of 175 cases as of today, of which 82 are active cases, 8 total deaths and 85 total recoveries.
Meanwhile, Consolacion has 174 total cases of which 90 are active cases. Consolacion’s latest report showed that they have 7 new cases, 2 deaths and 4 recoveries. (MLC)
