Chief Supt. Noli Taliño of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is set to assume as the new Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 director on Monday.

Talino will replace Chief Supt. Patrocinio Comendador Jr. who served as PTO 7 director for three months.

Comendador’s leadership at PRO 7 saw the fall of suspected drug lords Rowen “Yawa” Secretaria, David Anunciado and Jeffrey “Jaguar” Diaz. These big-time personalities were killed in a shootout with his personnel.

Secretaria and two of his subordinates died in Banacon Islet in Getafe, Bohol last May 28. Anunciado and his four underlings were killed in Inabanga, Bohol last June 5, while Diaz and his bodyguard died after a shootout with police in Las Piñas City last June 17.

Diaz was first on the list of the most wanted drug personalities in Central Visayas, followed by Secretaria. Anunciado operated mostly in Bohol.

Comendador is a graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy Makatao Class of 1985.

Taliño belongs to the Philippine Military Academy Maharlika Class of 1984.

He served as regional chief of the directorial staff at NCRPO.
