Taiwan to Showcase Latest Innovation, Technology in 4th Taiwan Excellence Campaign
Have you seen a cane that can be converted to a chair? How about a camera made from Hinoki wood?
Filipinos will be able to see the latest technology and innovation via the 4th Taiwan Excellence campaign.
More than 150 products from 52 accredited brands will be showcased in a lineup of activities such as experiential zone and expo slated from June 2 to Nov. 12.
The campaign aims to provide the latest products and technologies in the field of lifestyle/fitness, leisure and ICT.
Among the brands that have joined the campaign are Acer, Asus, MSI, Johnson Fitness, etc. It’s not just innovation that will be highlighted in the brands’ products, but also the durability and reliability.
Product demonstrations and interactive demos await Filipinos at the SM Megamall (June 2-4), SM Mall of Asia (Sept. 29 – Oct. 1), Glorietta (Nov. 24-26).
Attendees will be able to see the so-called “slimmest laptop”, the first smartphone with real-time beautification technology, the smallest virtual reality gaming PC.
A very sleek and stylish foldable bike, a wearable video camera are also among the latest technologies that Taiwan will show to the Filipinos.
During the campaign’s launch in Makati Thursday, Tony Lin, deputy director of Strategic Marketing Development, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), said this year’s campaign will highlight the highest quality products under the umbrella theme, “It’s an Excellent World”.
To better highlight the latest in technology, Lin showed the Hinoki digital camera. The product was described as the only digital paper camera in the market.
Lin said this product weighs less than 80 grams and uses to AA batteries.
At the launch, the Ta-Da chair – a cane that converts into a chair, was also introduced. This product is perfect for the elderlies, as well as persons with disabilities.
