Tail Part of AirAsia Plane Found
Singapore (PNA/TASS) — Indonesian rescuers have spotted the tail of the wrecked AirAsia plane, where the flight recorders may be found, an official said.
“We’ve found the tail that has been our main target today,” the chief of the Indonesian search and rescue agency told reporters in Jakarta on Wednesday. It was found by divers participating in the search operation.
On December 28, 2014, the AirAsia liner disappeared from radar screens when it was over the Kalimantan island area about 40 minutes after it took off from the Indonesian city of Surabaya. It was on a flight to Singapore with 155 passengers and seven crew members on board. (PNA/TASS) LAM/RSM
