Tail-end of Cold Front, Northeast Monsoon Bring Rains Over E. Visayas, Luzon on Friday
(PNA) — Expect moderate rains over parts of Eastern Visayas due to tail end of cold front affecting these area while light rains in most parts of Luzon due to Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon on Friday, according to Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its Friday forecast, PAGASA said Eastern Visayas will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms while Bicol region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), and Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) will have cloudy skies with light rains.
The rest of Luzon including Metro Manila will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila temperature will have 20-29 degrees Celsius for Friday while in Baguio will be 10-22 degrees Celsius.
PAGASA said moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over the whole archipelago with moderate to rough seas.
As such, the state weather bureau issued gale warning as strong to gale force winds associated with the surge of northeast monsoon will cause rough to very rough sea conditions over the seaboards of Luzon and Visayas.
“Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves,” it warned. (PNA) LGI/CLTC
