Tabuelan Farmers Receive Aid From DOLE
A livelihood grant was given by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to a farmer’s group in Tabuelan town in Cebu.
The grant amounting to P500,000 was given to the Small Coconut Farmers and Farm Workers Association of Tabuelan to use as capital for their cattle fattening project.
The farmer’s group also engages in cattle dispersal, free-range chicken and goat raising.
The Small Coconut Farmers and Farm Workers Association of Tabuelan group president Amelita Jugan said she is thankful for the livelihood grant from DOLE as it will provide an additional income for their members.
DOLE-Cebu officer-in-charge Vivencio Lagahid Seymoun Hamoy led the turnover of the livelihood grant for the farmer’s association.
The livelihood grant is under the DOLE’s program named DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP).
