SunLife Asset Management Company Inc. (SLAMCI) launched its latest product for positive financial markets a flexible type that employs tactical asset allocation approach for long-term investors.

Maria Charina Fuentes, SLAMCI head of strategic development and training, introduced the Sun Life Prosperity Dynamic Fund, the first of its kind in the country.

The Dynamic fund is a one-decision mutual fund which promptly adapts market conditions by switching from fixed-income investments to equities and vice-versa.

“This is for investors who would like to make and the most of their money through stocks and bonds, but don’t have the time or the expertise to do so,” said SLAMCI President Riena Pama.

Pama also added that this is a suitable choice for those who would like to invest for wealth accumulation, education funding or plan, and retirement.

The initial investment for the product is P50,000 with a minimum subsequent investment of P10,000. It has a holding period of 30 days and has a redemption fee of one percent of the redemption amount. The fund has a management fee of 2.5 percent. Its benchmark is 50 percent Philippine Stock Exchange Index and 50 percent HSBC Liquid Bond Index.

SunLife released the product last July 1 and capped it at 2 billion pesos, and has so far reached 1.24 billion pesos assets under management.

The fund is available exclusively to SunLife financial advisors and agents on a first come, first serve basis.

Sun Life Financial Inc. is a Canadian-based financial and insurance services company introduced to the Philippines in 1895.
