Study World Education Fair Expands to Cebu City with Promises of More to Come

If you’re one of those Filipinos who keep daydreaming about going abroad to experience a different culture, life, and education- GET READY! UKEAS’ successful venture into international education fairs, Study World, is coming to Cebu City on Monday, October 16, 2017 between 3pm and 8pm.

After growing events that packed their venues in Manila, Study World has expanded south to Cebu and found a new home at the Grand Emerald Ballroom in the Harolds Hotel Cebu City. The expansion to the south comes amid an increasing evolution of the education fair that has seen diplomats, artists, entrepreneurs, and celebrities speak to inspire Filipinos to expand their world view by studying abroad. Study World is a FREE fair that offers a unique chance for attendees to meet admissions and recruitment managers from over 20- top notch Universities across the globe, as well as to participate in educational seminars by visiting speakers. This October 16th, the event will host schools from the USA, UK, Ireland, Spain, Singapore, Canada, Australia, and more. Study World is the perfect event for aspiring students longing to be inspired to study abroad or working professionals that are interested in studying overseas for a degree or career advancement.

While UKEAS’s Study World has seen success in Manila, this will be the first time the event is held in the Visayas. The change in scenery is a welcome and exciting opportunity for UKEAS. “We’ve always wanted to expand our operations to the south, but the timing was never right,” says, UKEAS’ Corporate Strategy Manager, Chris Cazares. “This past April, my colleague and I took an exploratory trip down to Cebu to experience first-hand if there was a viable market for our events like Study World, and other services. We both couldn’t believe how well the trip went. We literally spent the entire trip looking at each other saying ‘we really need to bring our business here, at least our Study World Fairs.” The experience of the Visayas region on the two men was so immediate that once back to UKEAS headquarters in Taiwan- they began to plot. Cazares describes the thinking at the time: “We didn’t want to let the momentum fade so we got to work quickly. I’ve always loved doing business in the Philippines because of the people, but the Visayas soulfulness and energy really inspired us to make things happen.”
