Strengthened Cultural Exchanges, Direct Flight from Iloilo to Korea Eyed
Iloilo City (PNA) –The Iloilo Korean United Community Association (KUCA) will look into the strengthening of cultural exchanges between Koreans and Ilonggos as well as lobby for the opening of a direct flight from Iloilo to Incheon, South Korea.
These are among the plans of KUCA’s newly-elected and incoming community president Dae-Jin Moon during the association’s gathering here in this city on Thursday.
Moon emphasized on culture exchange through several events like food fiesta, Korean speech competition, custom fashion show, movie festival, volunteer service and more.
He expected that the plans could benefit both Ilonggos and Koreans, such as making it convenient for them to travel to and from Korea once the direct flight is realized.
“Please help me organize a better community and give ovation first that would motivate me and feel more responsibilities,” the new president said.
Moon will commence his term in January next year succeeding outgoing president Dong Jo Kim.
The association has 64 registered members based in Iloilo City. (PNA) FPV/PGL/BEOM CHEOL PARK – OJT/CBF
