Sto. Niño de Cebu Visits Spain After 500 Years
A replica of Sto. Niño de Cebu was sent to Spain after 500 years since the original image was gifted to Cebu by Ferdinand Magellan last December 9.
The Philippine Consulate presented the replica during the international mass was held at the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia.
This event highlights the celebration of the 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines.
Another replica of the Sto. Niño de Cebu was also donated by Lapu-Lapu City Junard Chan to Barcelona.
The replicas will visit the different churches in Spain as part of the 2021Quincentennial Commemorations and PCG Barcelona’s cultural diplomacy program. (ASC)
