Steak Eating Contest Slated
A Steak eating contest, which will be the first in Cebu is slated on July 6 at David’s Kitchen in I.T. Park.
Dubbed as “Ultimate Steak Challenge”, it is organized locally here in Cebu by three huge fans of steak.
The event originally started when few friends compete to see who can eat the most amount of steak and it quickly spread through social media, and the desire to participate hit record levels.
Instead of limiting the event to a few people, the organizers have decided to open the event to the general public.
The contest will begin with a registration at 4 p.m. which will end at 4:30 p.m. Until everyone in the venue is settled and seated, the participants will then be served with their first round of USDA Choice Rib Eye Steak at 5 p.m.
The cost to join the challenge is P999 pesos for all who can eat steak and rice, which is payable directly to the restaurant.
Prizes and awards for the top three participants who finish the most amount of steak will then be given. The winners will have their names embedded on a plaque on the wall of the restaurant and the champion will be crowned the victor of the Ultimate Steak Challenge.
The event is not a David’s Kitchen event, however it is being organized by three fans of great steak who patronize the restaurant’s Steak menu, and finds David?s Kitchen as a perfect avenue to hold such an event.
The organizers do not make any money off of this event, nor do they charge anything additional to the event participants.
For spectators who want to sit and watch the event inside the restaurant must at least order an appetizer or a meal, since David?s Kitchen is gracious enough to accommodate a large number of people and is the way to be respectful patrons not let empty tables go to waste.
One can also sponsor a friend who is a big fan of steak, but don’t have the budget.
