SSS Opens New Office in Cebu

(PIA7) – The Social Security System (SSS) has opened a full-service branch at Gaisano Grand Fiesta Mall in Tabunok, Cebu last February 4, 2015.

This new branch will serve members in the municipalities of Talisay, Minglanilla, Naga, San Fernando and Carcar, Cebu covering a total of 14,442 employee members and 3,000 self-employed or voluntary members.

It is also expected to help boster SSS membership in the southern part of Cebu with 17,000 members in the area.

SSS Assistant Vice President for Central Visayas Helen Solito said that one of their priority thrusts is “to make SSS accessible to our current and potential members especially to the informal sector workers.”

SSS Talisay Branch offers issuance of SS number, accepts and processes applications on benefit claims such as sickness, maternity, disability, funeral and death applications as well as UMID Data Capture Section.

SSS President and chief executive officer Emilio S. De Quiros Jr. and Cebu Vice Governor Agnes A. Magpale formally opened the said branch.​(rmn/HFG/PIA-7/SSS)
