SSS Conducts Briefing on Programs for Filipinos in Madrid
The Social Security System (SSS) recently gathered members of the Filipino community in Madrid for a briefing on its coverage programs. The briefing was conducted by SSS Representative Jonnah Cruzada held at the Philippine Overseas Labor Office Hall in Madrid, Spain.
Ms. Cruzada discussed, among others, members’ benefits, reactivation of records and amendment of member data and the SSS Flexi-Fund and loan restructuring programs. She also addressed queries from the audience and provided on-site services for the participants, most of whom were SSS members.
In turn, the participants requested for the provision of SSS onsite services in Madrid on a more regular basis.
The SSS representative also conducted on-site services in SSS partner remittance companies in Madrid and Barcelona.
Meanwhile, First Secretary and Consul Mary Luck Hicarte encouraged the participants to spread the word about SSS to their relatives and friends, underscoring that, through SSS, the Philippine government is able to provide protection to Filipino workers against disability, sickness, old age, death and other life events that may adversely affect their finances.
