Spotify Set to Release High-Fidelity Audio Feature
Music streaming giant Spotify is poised to introduce a new premium tier dubbed Music Pro, offering high-fidelity audio to audiophiles subscribed to the music and podcast streaming platform.
This comes after a leak was published by The Verge, confirming the streaming giant’s plans after years of speculation.
Music Pro promises to deliver a significant boost in audio quality for subscribers, which is not currently available in Spotify Premium’s features. Music Pro is rumored to stream music in lossless formats, such as 24-bit/44.1kHz FLAC files. This caters to audiophiles who prioritize an exceptional listening experience.
Moreover, the leak also hints at the inclusion of several intriguing features, including DJ remix capabilities that could empower users to interact with songs in novel ways.
Music Pro might also incorporate headphone optimization technology, personalizing the listening experience for specific headphone models, including support for Apple AirPods.
Additionally, the leaked information also suggests that Spotify might be exploring advanced library filtering options for Music Pro subscribers, allowing users to sort their music library by mood or genre.
The availability of all these features at launch remains uncertain, however, as Spotify has yet to officially announce Music Pro, leaving the release date and pricing structure undisclosed.
Spotify’s move is in stark contrast to its competitor, Apple Music in 2021, when Apple’s music streaming platform made Spatial Audio and Lossless audio available for free to all subscribers. (GFB)
