Smartphone App Saves Lost Couple in Australia
Sydney (PNA/Xinhua) — A couple who got lost during a remote hike in Australia used a smartphone app to help emergency services locate them.
A 57-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman were hiking in Tallaganda State Forest in southern New South Wales on Saturday when they got lost.
They then used the “Emergency +” app to help the authorities pinpoint their exact location via their phone signal and were found on Sunday thanks to the coordinates, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported on Monday. (PNA/Xinhua) JBP/EBP
