Six Years Old Victim Identifies Suspect

A 22-year-old man is set to be charged with rape after was positively identified by his 6-year-old victim.

Arnel Booc, 22, a resident of Barangay Canhabagat, Medellin town, was arrested Monday for alleged rape and child abuse after a 6-year-old girl told police that he was the culprit. The girl was found in the middle of the sugar cane plantation in Barangay Don Virgilio, Medellin Monday afternoon with her private parts smeared with blood. Booc even reportedly helped the family and neighbors find the girl after she did not show up hours after she told her grandmother she would take a pee near the said plantation. After her discovery, the girl told the police that it was Booc who raped her.

Apart from rape Booc will also be charged for violation of RA 7610 or the Child Welfare Act.
