Six Cebu Grads Top LET
Six Cebu graduates topped the recent Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) for elementary and high school.
For the LET (elementary) Jacqueline Pono of the University of San Carlos (USC) made it to the third rank with her 88.80 percent, while Aimae Balbuena of University of Cebu Lapulapu and Mandaue (UCLM) follows as fourth placer.
Gee Rianne Pitogo of Cebu Normal University (CNU) and Joanne Barcelonia came as fifth and eight, respectively.
Maria Rina Bulilan Lazo of CNU was ninth placer of the same exam.
Meanwhile, only one Cebu graduate topped in the secondary level. Mariel Amora Ybañez of CNU made it to the 10th spot with 88.00 percent.
The Professional Regulation Commission said there are 25,301 elementary teachers out of 70,786 examinees and 26,767 secondary teachers out of 77,803 examinees successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers.
The exam, conducted in various testing centers all over the country, was given last August 17, 2014.
