Siargao: The Home of Cloud Nine Break
Siargao is a tear-drop shaped island in the province of Surigao del Norte. As Siargao Island is greatly influenced by the winds and currents coming uninterrupted from the Pacific Ocean, it wouldn’t be such a mystery why their waters are home to waves sought after by surfers.
The island is commonly known as surfers haven. Surfers from around the world are flocking to this island because of large and cloud 9 waves perfect for adrenaline rush.
An hour and a half away from General Luna, a place called Magpupunko Beach is like a natural infinity pool and it’s really famous for tourists. You would be amazed of the beauty when you get there. The beach seemed like the usual but as you go about the path going to the rock formations, you can really see how wonderful God’s creations are.
On the other side of Siargao lies a town in Socorro in Surigao del Norte, home of the Bacus Grande Islands also known as the Sohoton Cove National Park, home to hundreds of stingless jellyfish that you can actually swim with.
It is filled with gorgeous, muffin-shaped, forest covered islets. Most of them are untouched by human hands. We won’t be surprised if there are rare and never-seen-before species of flora and fauna residing in these islets.
As we can see God is truly amazing on his creation to create this world a better place.
But before you leave this amazing place, you’ll take one last look, before you get on your jeep or your motorbike and leave General Luna. And as you drive away, you begin planning your next trip back.
