Shallow Quake Strikes Off Eastern Indonesia
Jakarta (PNA/Xinhua) — An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter magnitude jolted North Sulawesi province in eastern parts of Indonesian on Sunday, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said here.
The quake struck at 10:32 a.m. Jakarta time (0332 GMT) with epicenter at 89 km southeast of Bolang Mongondow Timur of the province and with the depth at 10 km under sea bed, an official of the agency told Xinhua by phone.
