Senior Citizens, PWDs to Receive Cash Assistance

The Cebu City Government will give P3,000 financial assistance to senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) on September 21 (Saturday) and September 22 (Sunday).

The said cash assistance will be distributed to qualified applicants through their Barangay Halls.

Cebu City Mayor Edgar Labella said that the city council approved the P2.5 billion supplemental budget mainly for the distribution of financial assistance to senior citizens and PWDs.

Labella explained that the city government has checked everything to make sure that the distribution of financial assistance will go smoothly.

“Ato paman gung i reconcile ang tanan daghan pamang buhatonon and then see to it nga wala gyuy ma miss,” Labella said.

Based on the record, there are 75,000 elderlies to be prioritized.

Currently, there are more than a thousand applicants who also applied to be part of the financial assistance given by the Cebu City government. (MLC)
