Segregation of Vaxxed, Unvaxxed Individuals Via “Bubbles” Pushed
To prevent further lockdowns during the upcoming Christmas season and in the fourth quarter of the year in general, Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion has pushed for the segregation of vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals through separate “bubbles.”
Conception said in an interview Friday that this will allow more mobility for vaccinated individuals, while having the ability to protect the unvaccinated from COVID-19 by limiting their mobility only to their respective workplaces.
However, the entrepreneurial advisor said that will could only be done once Metro Manila hits 50 percent, as he is pushing for the bubbles to be done in the capital region.
Reports from the National Task Force Against Covid-19 (NTF) show that full, two-shot vaccinations for eligible individuals have already hit the 41 percent mark.
Conception noted that the bubbles will allow for more economic activity as vaccinated individuals can now engage in consumer spending and further added that the Philippines would not be the first country in implementing policies that allow for greater movement for vaccinated individuals as Singapore and Indonesia are currently being implemented.
Conception met with Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade as he proposed the separation of vaccinated and unvaccinated persons in public transportation such as buses. (GFB)
