Saying Goodbye to Tesla’s Referral Program
Tesla’s referral program has tremendously changed over the years with promises of new Roadsters for top referrers and free Supercharging for up to six months.
This eventually became too expensive for the company which then killed the program entirely and replaced it with new reasonable rewards shortly after. These rewards include at least 1,000 miles free of Supercharging.
The company has taken out vehicle products and solar panels under its referral program as of September 18th.
The Solar Roof, which has monetary awards of up to $500 and free Powerwalls, is the only active program at the moment.
Tesla has yet to fulfill some of its bigger referral promises to its customers. There is no idea yet when the referral program is coming back or if there is any indication of it coming back at all.
The company did say that customers love the referral program and it’s the one thing they tell their friends and family about Tesla but it has yet to answer some of the referrers who haven’t earned their Roadsters yet and also haven’t received their Powerwalls and other rewards.
Customers have taken these concerns to online forums as this has been a constant issue for the past years.
