Samsung Galaxy K Zoom Announced
Samsung has revealed its latest device, a compact camera with a smartphone built in – the Galaxy K Zoom Android handset.
The Galaxy K Zoom features a 20.7 megapixel BSI (backside illumination) CMOS Sensor and optical image stabilization. There’s also a Xenon flash for low light photography, 10x optical zoom and Full HD 1080p video.
Samsung has added Auto Focus/Auto Exposure separation and a “Pro Suggest” mode that will offer up 10 optimized filter settings depending on the shot you’re trying to take.
Behind the 4.8-inch HD (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED display is a hexa-core processor comprising a 1.3GHz quad-core chip and a 1.7 GHz dual core one with Android 4.4 KitKat the OS of choice.
Wireless connectivity is catered for thanks to Bluetooth 4, NFC and 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi. And rounding out the specs is the 8GB of onboard storage and 2GB RAM.
Samsung has included a microSD card slot for expanding of storage and has opted for a 2,430mAh battery.
“We know that our customers all have different demands and needs, and the Galaxy K Zoom is the latest example of our on-going commitment to ensuring we have something for everyone,” said Simon Stanford, vice president of IT and mobile division, at Samsung UK & Ireland.
