Samsung Announces Galaxy Round

After being teased in leak photos earlier this morning, Samsung has made its existence official – the GALAXY ROUND, the world’s first curved display smartphone.

The device will feature a 5.7” Full HD Super AMOLED, 7.9mm thick and weighs 154g. Other specs include:

• Snapdragon 800 (MSM 8974)
• 32GB of internal storage + microSD slot (64GB max)
• 3GB of RAM
• Android 4.3
• Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, WiFi Direct
• BT 4.0 (BLE), NFC
• USB 3.0
• GPS+GLONASS
• Samsung KNOX
• 2800mAh battery

Users can take advantage of round integration experiences like the Roll Effect that enables the user to check notifications, battery levels and more by tilting the phone to the side.

Samsung GALAXY ROUND will be available on October 10 in Korea with Luxury Brown, and more colors will be available soon.
