Samsam to JVR: Study Waterpark Idea First

● Congressman said JVR should note that the Mananga River could be dangerous after a heavy rain.

First district Rep. Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas told Talisay City Mayor Johnny V. de los Reyes to study his plan to make Mananga River a water park before setting the project off.

“Maybe there should be a study about it, if it is feasible, why not?” said the young congressman.

Gullas said the Mananga River could be dangerous when it swells after a heavy rain, one thing the mayor should take note.

De los Reyes earlier said he is planning to make a portion of the river into a waterpark with thrill rides for the city residents and tourists.

The city would earn a great deal from it if it pushes through, he said.

De los Reyes owns a nature park in Balamban, Cebu City, in which, he said, he would make as a template for Talisay’s own. But according to the mayor, he would see to it if the river would be a good site for his plan.
