Rumor: Apple’s Next iPhone to Arrive Sept. 10
Apple will unveil the next generation of the iPhone at a major press event on Sept. 10, according to All Things D.
Apple introduced the iPhone 5 on September 12, 2012, which was also reported by AllThingsD.
Last time around, Apple started taking pre-orders two days after the launch event and the phone went on sale two-and-a-half weeks later.
As far as the iPhone 5S rumors go, most point to an incremental update with the usual speed improvements, a faster chip, a better camera with a dual LED flash and enhanced battery life. The only exciting rumor so far is that Apple will introduce a built-in fingerprint reader for unlocking your phone. There are also persistent rumors of a cheaper iPhone 5 — maybe with a plastic back.
