Ruby Weakens into TD, Makes 5th Landfall over Lubang

State weather agency updated that tropical cyclone Ruby (international name Hagupit) had weakened into a tropical depression and made a fifth landfall over Lubang Island around 5 a.m.Tuesday.

PAGASA added that TD Ruby had packed maximum sustained winds of 60 kph near the centers, with gusts of up to 80 kph. It was moving westwards at 13 kph.

Report said Ruby is expected to be 375 km west of Ambulong, Tanauan City, Batangas or at 385 km west of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro Tuesday afternoon.

By Wednesday afternoon it is expected to be 700 km west of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro or outside the Philippine area of responsibility.

Public Storm Signal Number 1 is still up over the following areas:

Metro Manila
Bataan
Cavite
Laguna
Batangas
Oriental Mindoro
Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Island
