Robbery Suspect Arrested in Buy-Bust Op

A buy-bust operation on March 3, 2019 resulted to the arrest of one of the suspects for the robbery of three business establishments in Northern Cebu.

A concerned citizen reported to the authorities that a couple was selling drugs in the boundary of Consolacion and Liloan, Province of Cebu.

After surveillance and verification, around 6:00 pm, operatives from Consolacion Police Station and Liloan Police Station conducted the buy-bust operation in Sitio Baas, Brgy. San Vicente, Liloan Cebu.

The buy-bust operation led to the arrest of Joper Anatado, 37, a habal-habal driver, and a native of Zamboanga del Sur; and Janina Bohol, 29, ukay-ukay vendor, both are temporary residents of the area.

Recovered from the suspects were 4 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, a motorcycle, and .45 calibre pistol loaded with 4 live ammunations.

After the buy-bust operation, police found out that Anatado is one of the five suspects for the robbery of Palawan Pawnshop and Money Remittance in Liloan town; Avon Cosmetics Store and VECO Remittance Center in Consolacion town.

Anatado was with Mark Rosal, Johny Francisco and two other unidentified suspects that are linked to the remnants of the Ozamis Group. (ASC)
