Restoration After Recovery

“My wayward children,” says the Lord, “come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts.” “Yes, we’re coming,” the people reply, “for you are the Lord our God.” Jeremiah 3:22

“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.” Isaiah 1:18

God restores us when we confess our sins and we are forgiven. After He forgives, He tramples our sin under His feet, throws it into the ocean depths, removes the stain, and makes us as clean as news snow. He looks at us as though we had never sinned. God is in the restoration business. He longs to heal our broken hearts and redeem our broken lives.

“The Lord says, “Then I will heal you of your idolatry and faithlessness; my love will know no bounds, for my anger will be gone forever.” Hosea 14:4
