Resort with Olympic-size Swimming Pool, 3 Kiddie Pools Supplied with Spring Water in Bataan
Abucay, Bataan (PNA) — For only a minimal fee, a visitor can enjoy and be close to nature at the Sibul Nature Resort in this town that has an Olympic-size swimming pool and three kiddie pools supplied with spring water.
“Get wet, it’s fun,” says the welcome streamer.
Adjacent to the swimming pools are forested areas filled with vegetation. Lifeguards stay on watch with inflatable tires ready.
The source of the spring water is roofed and well-protected.
Not only adults but children will enjoy visiting the resort. What with different life-size anime characters like Iron Man, Hulk, Spider Man and even elephant, tiger, giant frog, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs present in the well-paved area.
Ato Dulay, resort administrator, said there are two duplex-type buildings of two rooms each.
“We admit visitors overnight just for Php2,000 a room good for six to 10 visitors each,” he said.
“Its beautiful. There are big changes,” said Tess Levera who together with volleyball players from different towns in Bataan enjoyed eating bagoong (shrimp paste) and green mangoes in one of the native fruit-named picnic huts.
“We always come here because it is beautiful and relaxing,” said Guardian Brotherhood Association officer Abel Tumacdel. He was with other members who brought their families in the resort.
With a well-designed concrete stairs above picnic huts is the Shrine of Maria Canon, former camp of Japanese soldiers during World War II.
Dulay said that in the resort is a pavilion that can be rented for parties and seminars just for Php3,000.
Entrance fee is Php60 for adults while Php50 each for senior citizens and children from 4 feet and below.
Dulay said that expected are 2,000 visitors daily during the Holy Week especially on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.
