Rep. Quisumbing Wins As Mandaue City Mayor

Representative Luigi Quisumbing (Cebu, sixth district) garnered 85,433 votes, defeating incumbent Councilor Lolypop Ouano-Dizon, who got 65,055, to win as mayor of Mandaue City.

He was proclaimed as mayor early Tuesday morning.

It will be Quisumbing’s first term as mayor, after serving as Cebu Provincial Board member and congressman of the sixth district.

Quisumbing’s running mate, lawyer Carlo Pontico Fortuna, a former vice mayor, was elected vice mayor, with 81,479 votes over incumbent Councilor Beethoven Andaya, who had 56,004 votes. (PNA) FFC/EB/EBP
