Regus Eyes Nationwide Expansion, Partnership with Developers
Regus Philippines, a provider of “flexible workspace”, eyes for a robust growth in the country in the near future by expanding nationwide and partnering with real estate developers.
Regus Philippines Country Manager Lars Wittig told reporters that the company eyes to establish more flexible workspace facilities in Metro Manila, Greater Manila Area, Naga, Subic, Baguio, Mactan, Iloilo, Bacolod, General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, and Zamboanga.
Wittig, however, has yet to disclose the Regus’ timeline for expanding its facilities in the country.
He mentioned that Regus is looking to boost partnership with developers to hasten its growth in the Philippines.
With real estate developers also diversifying to flexible workspace business, Wittig said developers can partner with Regus to manage the facility and also tap its global network.
“We are offering to go in and manage these locations under our brand,” he said.
Wittig mentioned that Regus already had this type of partnership with developers in Davao.
“We are very much pursuing that kind of model because it will accelerate our ability to grow. If we want to grow as fast as we would like to, then we will go into these partnerships,” the Regus executive added.
Moreover, the company targets to put up facilities in international airports across the country.
In 2016, Regus recorded a 65-percent increase in demand for its flexible workspaces.
In the same year, the company has also added eight new locations to its network ending the previous year with some 5,300 workstations in 25 centers.
Regus likewise grew its membership last year by 35 percent from 2015 with close to 5,000 members nationwide.
With its expanding network, Regus sees to increase the utilization of its facilities this year. (PNA)BNB/KMC
