Real Hope: No Fear in Love

Perfect Love

Have you ever worried that you would disappoint someone you love? Maybe you made a mistake and feared they would punish you by pushing you away. Maybe in the past, you’ve experienced conditional love from someone whose love and acceptance of you was only on their terms. When people we love react negatively to us for our weaknesses or mistakes, it can cause fear, anxiety, shame, or pain.

As humans, we can give or receive love in hurtful ways. But there is another love for us. A perfect love. One that is true and pure and unconditional. A love that doesn’t ask for perfection or performance. A love that doesn’t push us away or punish us when we stumble. Nor does it shame or condemn us when we mess up.

And that love is the love of Jesus. There is no other love that is as pure and true as the love of Jesus. No other love is as selfless as the love of Jesus. His love for us is boundless. When we mess up, His love doesn’t push us away but calls us closer. When we feel fear, His love casts it out and brings peace. When we feel lost, His love reminds us that He loved us first and brings hope.

Jesus is extending His love to you today. A gift that is freely received and unconditional. All you need to do is receive it and allow it to transform your heart and your life.
