Razkals, Ateneo Nab Crowns In Tayud Cup

The Talisay Razkals, Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) and Hiroshi FC bagged titles in the 2nd Tayud Futsal Fiesta Cup over the weekend in Consolacion in northern Cebu.

The Talisay Razkals claimed the Girls Under-15 division title with a 5-2 beating of Don Bosco Liloan A.

Shiela Marie Estopito of the Talisay Razkals was named MVP after scoring 19 goals.

SHS-AdC won the Girls Under-18 division diadem with a 2-0 win over Don Bosco Liloan.

Former Girls Under-14 RP national team player Itsuko Bacatan took MVP honors after scoring seven goals in the tournament.

Hiroshi FC, on the other hand, blasted Real Galaxy, 5-2, for the Men’s Open crown.

Hitoshi Iwanaga was awarded with the MVP trophy for scoring 10 goals in the tournament.

Some of the proceeds of the 2nd Tayud Futsal Fiesta Cup’s profits will be given to the Kythe Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps children with cancer and other chronic illnesses.

The first edition raised PHP28,000 in cash and PHP4,000 worth of gift certificates for the Kythe Foundation.(PNA) LAP/EB/MP/EDS
