Rama Inspires Lions Club International
Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama continues to inspire leaders as he joined the Lions Club in their first district convention in Cebu as its venue, over the weekend.
In its opening ceremony, the mayor shared his personal experiences in public service and the big responsibility that goes along with it as a father in one of the progressive cities in the Philippines.
“Servant leadership is vital in any service that anyone would like to render to their fellowmen,” Rama said.
Lions Club International is the biggest and one of the most prestigious civic organizations in the world. Lions Club District 301-B2, a brand-new district composed of charters in Cebu, Bohol, Leyte and Samar, held its first district convention last August 24, at Cebu Grand Hotel.
Members from all over the district, as well as those from other provinces and districts converged in the city.
Afterwards, a plaque of appreciation was presented to Mayor Rama by Cebu Maginoo Lions Club Council and Convention Chairman Dr. Rene Obra and District Governor 301-B2 Eduardo Ventic.
