RAFI to Donate to the Naga Landslide Victims and Evacuees
Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) prepared relief packs for the evacuees of the Naga landslide on September 27, 2018.
According to Asst. VP for Reputation Management Caroline Ballesteros, they prepared 1,800 relief packs for more than 1,600 families with 6,800 individuals in 11 evacuation centers however if there will more evacuees that will arrive they will do another batch of relief packs.
“Ang kining atong gipanghatag karon this is from RAFI nga contribution… Kung naay mu abot, we will do another batch of giving out (This relief packs that we giving away now is RAFI’s contribution… if ever there will be more evacuees that will arrive, we will do another batch of giving out,” Ballesteros added.
Ballesteros mentioned that they have contacted the LGU in Naga City and found out that evacuees need sleeping materials, underwears and dignity or hygiene packs so RAFI prepared blankets, sleeping mats, hygiene packs and underwears for children and adults for the evacuees.
“Nag-call out mig donations, so whatever comes we will continue to pack (Currently we are calling out for donations, so whatever comes we will continue to pack),” Ballesteros said.
Ballesteros said that the giving of donations will end on 5 in the afternoon in October 5, 2018.
RAFI will continue to give help to the evacuees until they are relocated. (Aljun S. Cainghog)
