RAFI–KAC Conducts Pilmico Feeds Service Learning Program After Mt. Manunggal Land Expedition
Seventy-eight Pilmico Feeds employees completed their four-day Land Expedition Program organized by Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc – Kool Adventure Camp (RAFI-KAC) at Mt. Manunggal, Balamban, Cebu last February 4-7, 2015.
With the theme “Breaking Records Through Me,” the land expedition was a journey of self-discovery for the employees, who came from different Pilmico branches different areas in the country.

The program was designed to enhance their self-confidence, leadership, teamwork, and negotiation skills that they can apply at work and in their personal lives.
The program challenged the boundaries of the participant’s comfort zone through a series of tasks that requires their problem solving abilities, communication capabilities, and organizational talents to overcome.

The participants spent the last day of their expedition through a Service Learning activity. They distributed school supplies and painted chairs and school buildings in Cambagocboc Elementary School, Balamban.
They also conducted educational workshops for the kids such as teaching them oral hygiene, songs and dances. The children also shared their aspirations in life during the dream sharing activity.

The participants came from a diverse cultural, professional backgrounds, and assignments from areas all over the Philippines where Pilmico Feeds has offices. The program was meant for them to gain the right perspective and learn important life lessons despite their difference from each other.
Pilmico partnered with RAFI-KAC because it believes that its adventure education program would play a vital role in breaking records, fostering innovative minds and dynamic personalities, and developing stronger leaders of the company.

Cambagocboc Elementary School outreach activity, on the other hand, was a clear example of the private and public sectors can play in collaborating to cultivate and nurture young Filipino talents and contribute to providing a better learning experience for the youth.
KAC has been offering adventure education programs for leadership and team development for youth and professionals for the last decade.
