RAFI Extends Help to Yolanda Victims
The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI) has packed 2,000 relief goods for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda, which will be coursed through its partner, Impact Foundation.
Impact Foundation Philippines administrator Jose Perfecto said they provided the goods while RAFI does the packing. Impact Foundation, whose mother organization is based in the United Kingdom, has been involved in various programs aimed at improving the lives of the Filipino people.
“They were looking for an organization to partner with and read about RAFI, so they contacted us,” related Marie Sol Gonzalvo of RAFI.
Gonzalvo said it will now be RAFI’s say where these donations would go as long as they get to the victims of the super typhoon. On Wednesday, RAFI in cooperation with Knight-Stewards of the Sea, Inc. (Seaknights), Punongbayan and Aurollo Foundation and Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team, sent over 1,000 relief goods to the people of Kinatarkan Island, Sta Fe, Bantayan Island. Fr. Tito Soquiño of the Seaknights and the Basilica del Santo Niño said they will come back tomorrow to send in more reliefs to the people of the said island.
