Radio Station Managers in Cebu Meet Archbishop Palma

The 500th year of Christianity in the Philippines is fast approaching and the Catholic Church is starting to prepare for the “Pagsangyaw 2021”.

Pagsangyaw 2021 is a religious movement spearheaded by the Cebu Archdiocese Commission and Commission on the Laity to celebrate the 500 years of Christianity in the country by sharing their fate to everyone.

In 1521, while searching for the spice islands, Portuguese Explorer Ferdinand Magellan came to Cebu and marked the start of Christianity.

Archbishop Jose Palma of the Archdiocese of Cebu met with Cebu’s Radio station managers to discuss on how they can support the said event.

Palma said that by playing different segments about Pagsangyaw 2021 on certain radio stations, it will help promote the event and people from all over the Province of Cebu can participate.

Meanwhile, head of the Commission on the Laity Fe Barino presented the Pagsangyaw 2021 to the station managers.

Station managers and representatives from different radio stations DYRC Aksyon Radyo Cebu, DYHP RMN Cebu, DYRF Radyo Fuerza, 94.7 Energy FM, 91.5 Yes The Best and other stations attended the meeting with Palma. (MLC)
