Public Speaking Workshop at Cebu Chamber
With its mission to strengthen the capabilities of its members and the business sector of Cebu as a whole for global competitiveness, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) will hold a public speaking seminar and workshop on September 6-7 at the CCCI training facility in North Reclamation Area (across old White Gold House).
While its mission portrays the members as the be-all and end-all of the Chamber’s existence, CCCI recognizes that the mission extends beyond membership. It likewise acknowledges that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) dominate the Philippine economy and accounted for almost 99.6 percent of the total number of establishments. They have the potential for more employment generation and economic growth and therefore can help provide a self-sufficient industrial foundation for the country.
In order to provide them with total value added skills and enhance their competitiveness and flexibility, and eventually prepare them once ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Economic Integration comes into force by 2015, the Chamber through its Business Development Division, will start conducting capability building trainings, seminars, and workshops at affordable costs.
Thus, the seminar-workshop this coming weekend “Think, Speak and Act Like A Pro” will take participants from their work environment to the stage, and experience the power of public speaking with competence and confidence. They will learn how to motivate and persuade people to attain common goals. The learning activity includes illustrations of the three elements of public speaking, and adds some tips in event planning, preparation, and management where communication and networking are synergized.
All are enjoined and highly encouraged to attend this public speaking event and all the upcoming learning events of the Chamber. For confirmation of attendance in the seminar-workshop, please reach the CCCI office at (032) 232-1421 to 24 local 105 / 109 and look for Maribel Melgar or Gary Paloma. An affordable participation fee will be assessed to cover facilitators’ fees, meals and reference materials.
