Provincial Veterinarian Gets CSC’s 2017 ‘Pagasa’ Award
For her efforts in making linkages with local government units, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Honor Awards Program recognized Cebu Provincial veterinarian Mary Rose B. Vincoy through its prestigious Pagasa Award during its 117th anniversary celebration held at the Montebello Hotel last week.
CSC’s Pagasa Award is given to an individual or group whose outstanding contributions or performance directly benefits more than one department of the government.
Vincoy developed the practice of better linkages with local government units, national agencies and organizations, making the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) as among the top performing offices in the Capitol.
“Kita man ga trabaho man gyud ta with passion, kining nga award bonus ni siya,” Dr. Vincoy said, thankful that all of her years in service had been recognized by the CSC.
The Province also received certificates of appreciation for providing CSC a Field Office Lot (FLO) and generously sharing its resources to further improve its services.
“The people behind the Capitol is our most important resource. This can be attested not only by the awards that we received, but ultimately in the lives that we have prospered,” said Provincial Administrator Atty. Mark Tolentino.
