PRO7: Security for Nov. 1-2 Celebrations, Ready
All police preparations are ready for the celebration of All Souls Day and All Saints Day come November 1 and 2, said PSSupt. Conrado S. Capa of the Police Regional Office (PRO)7 on Monday.
Capa said all cemeteries in the four provinces of Central Visayas such as Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental and Siquijor will be fully secured with police securities on the aforementioned days.
All police station chiefs are already instructed to divide the assignments of their police personnel to secure the areas within their jurisdiction, Capa said.
“But before those days come, all police personnel in the region are already instructed to follow the rules of law in the preservation of peace and order in their respective areas of assignments,” Capa said.
Capa added that cemeteries are not only the places where the public go, but also airports, seaports and terminals must also be secured.
Capa said on Thursday and Friday and until next week, all police personnel who will be assigned at the airport, pier areas and even in terminals will be there until such time they are ordered to withdraw.
Capa said that in terminals, airports and pier areas, there are K-9 dogs to help the police authorities in securing the areas.
Bus Inspection
He said all passenger buses will be inspected before leaving its destination and the same will be done to all passenger buses that arrive at the terminal to insure that no bombs,illegal drugs, or firearms hidden within the passenger bags or kept within the bus.
Capa said the law prevails at the airport and seaports and even inside the cemeteries. No bladed weapons are allowed to be used in all aspects of human activities there, he said.
Liquor Ban
Liquors are also banned, and even sound system are not allowed, Capa said, adding that this is to maintain the solemnity of the celebration.
