PRO 7 Welcomes NBI Aid

The police authorities in Region 7 has welcomed the news that the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) will launch a parallel investigation for the immediate solution on the ambushed slaying of Atty. Noel Archival and two of his companions last week in Barangay Coro, Municipality of Dalaguete.

Police Chief Supt. Danilo S. Constantino, Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 chief yesterday said that both the police and NBI authorities are now in tandem towards the solution of high profile cases.

“Two agencies are much better than one in making solutions to any big crimes” Constantino said.

According to Constantino that all they have to do is to compare notes to bolster any positive move aimed at solving the problem.

One of the biggest problems they are facing now is to identify the criminals, Constantino said.

The PRO7 chief has emphasized that although the police and NBI authorities have different functions in general but they are one on crime solutions in particular.

According to Constantino both the police and NBI people are not competing against each other on who is to be called proficient on crime solving.

This is because they have only one thrust, this time, and that is to solve the ambushed slaying of Atty. Archival.

Earlier the families of Atty. Archival have sought the aid of NBI on the investigation aspect of the crime as they need to see any positive progress to identify the perpetrators.

With this development, Constantino may also thankful to the immediate move of NBI for its similar investigation to the case , as what have been doing by the police, to make things much easier and better.
