PRO 13 Culminates Women’s Month Celebration; Awards 7 Policewomen
The Police Regional Office (PRO)-13 culminated the celebration of Women’s Month here with the recognition of outstanding female police officers held Monday morning.
The highlights of the event were the formation of an all-female officers’ battalion and the giving of awards and recognition to seven deserving policewomen.
The awardees included PSupt Rowena A. Martinez and Gladdez C. Maquidato who received the ‘Medalya ng Kagalingan’; SPO4 Tejane Q. Zarzoso and PO2 Rochelle A. Gordo who were honored with the ‘Medalya ng Papuri’; while SPO1 Michelle E. Alcaide, PO3 Angeline B. Dollisen, and PO1 Vanesa M. Lad were awarded the ‘Medalya ng Kasanayan’ for their exemplary performance.
Agusan del Norte Governor and Regional Peace and Order Council chairperson Maria Angela Rosedell M. Amante-Matba graced the occasion and also spearheaded the giving of awards together with Chief Supt. Noli A. Romana, Caraga Police Director.
Gov. Matba emphasized in her speech that women can also do anything that men can do.
The month-long celebration, with the theme “We Make Change Work for Women”, was packed with activities participated in by various government agencies and other stakeholders.
