Prime Suspect in Deadly Bangkok Blast Arrested, Warrants Out for 3 Turkish
Bangkok (PNA/Kyodo) — Thai Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha announced Tuesday that a suspect believed to be behind a deadly bomb attack on a shrine in central Bangkok in August has been arrested.
The suspect, who the prime minister said was not a Thai national, was arrested by the Thai army while attempting to escape to Cambodia at the border in Sa Kaeo province.
Police Gen. Chakthip Chaijinda is said to be bringing the suspect to Bangkok by helicopter for interrogation. (PNA/Kyodo) JBP/PJN
