President Aquino Watch Movies Starring His Nephew and Sister Kris Aquino

In support of the Filipino films, President Benigno Aquino III on Thursday watched two movies, which star his nephew Bimby Aquino-Yap and sister Kris Aquino in separate malls on the opening day of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

President Aquino arrived at the Cinema 2 of SM Megamall Building A by 3:02 p.m. where he watched “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin.”

The movie starring comedian Vice Ganda, who plays the role of Private Benjamin Santos VIII, is a sequel to the movie “The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin,” the highest grossing Filipino movie in 2011.

During the screening, the President sat in-between sister Kris and Vice Ganda.

Presidential sisters Victoria Elisa “Viel” Aquino-Dee, Maria Elena “Ballsy” Aquino-Cruz, Aurora Corazon “Pinky” Aquino-Abellada and their respective families also showed their support to their nephew. Kris also played a minor role in the movie.

The President left the movie theater at SM Megamall by 4:43 p.m.

Also present during the movie was Coco Martin, who co-starred with Kris in the movie “Feng Shui 2,” which the President also watched at 4D Cinema in the SM Mall of Asia at 7:30 p.m.

“The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin” and “Feng Shui 2” are two of the official entries of the MMFF. Other entries are “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo,” “English Only, Please,” “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2,” “Magnum Muslim .357,” “My Big Bossing,” and “Shake, Rattle & Roll XV.” PND (ag)
