Pres. Duterte: Drug War Remains Top Priority
For the remaining three years of his presidency, Pres. Rodrigo Duterte vowed to stop illegal drugs by tracking down remaining narco-politicians and drug peddlers.
In his speech during his visit to Cebu on February 24, he cited his unrelenting war against the drug problem in the country, saying that this is the most dangerous time to be involved in drugs.
He reminded the public to not enter into the drug business because “ang kwarta dali diha pero ang kinabuhi dali pud (easy money also puts your life in danger easily).”
“If you poison our sons and daughters, I will kill you. So see you in hell,” Duterte warned those who are involved in drug trade.
“If we cannot have law and order and if we cannot stop corruption, the Philippines would still be the same in 30 years,” he added.
He also expressed in his speech that he considers his presidency as a gift from God and he does not want to be praised as president because he is just doing his job.
The president said that in return, his gift for the Filipino people are his sacrifice and service. (Bridgette May Bayhon/PIA7)
