The Visayan Electric Company (VECO) most recent report as of January 25 says that most of its franchise areas have been reenergized.

This development comes as VECO said they have reenergized 86% of their total customers in Cebu City, Mandaue City, Talisay City, and the City of Naga, along with the municipalities of San Fernando, Minglanilla, Consolacion, and Liloan.

“Visayan Electric was able to energize 407,996 out of the 474,182 affected customers within its franchise area,” VECO said in their Facebook post.

Moreover, VECO added that they have started to repair and reenergize its customers on the outskirts of Metro Cebu.

The power company also reported that there are more than 2,000 electric poles that were damaged during Typhoon Odette. (ASC)
